The Black Country brand has been created to give everyone within the sub-region a shared sense of pride and identity, and to encourage businesses, investors, tourists, residents and other audiences to see the Black Country in a new light – as a unified area working towards a common goal and offering exciting opportunities. As such, the Black Country brand belongs to everyone involved in securing the future success and prosperity of the sub-region.
Black Country Partner Guidelines
As a Black Country Partner, you aren’t obliged to adopt the Black Country brand – it’s entirely voluntary – but if all Partners in the sub-region were to unite under the Black Country banner, it would benefit everyone involved.
The more Partners use the brand, the more powerful it becomes. And, by enabling Partners to collaborate under a single brand, it can help you to pool resources for more impact and influence on the national, as well as international, stage.
These guidelines will help you to understand the brand and how to use and adopt the Black Country ‘Fleximark’, a graphic device that is easy to apply to your communications without affecting your own branding or identity. However, if you collaborate with other Partners, it is recommended that you use the full Black Country branding to unify the different brands under a single, coherent identity. For such collaborative efforts, detailed guidelines on the Black Country colours, typefaces, imagery and grid are provided.
